Countryside Driving Course
On average, two thirds of fatalities on Britain’s roads are on rural roads.*
Our rural roads driving course is aimed at helping you to understand the factors behind this statistic and how to be a safe and knowledgeable driver on countryside roads.
It will help you to identify and deal with hazards that are part of driving in the countryside, as well as understanding use of speed and overtaking safely. Our course is suitable for learner drivers and full licence holders alike and can be tailored to suit your specific needs. Where possible, we can also include driving at night on rural roads – helping you to manage the additional risks this brings.
Help you consider the different road users you might find on country roads, how to choose an appropriate speed for the conditions. We’ll show you how to improve your anticipation on rural roads, including thinking about the clues you might look for to help you anticipate and plan your driving.
