Motorway Driving

Whether you’re a learner or a full licence holder, we can tailor a motorway driving course in and around Birmingham, put together to suit your needs, experience and goals.

Since June 2018, learner drivers are allowed on motorways, as long as they are accompanied by an approved driving instructor and are in a car fitted with dual controls. So, parents, friends or trainee driving instructors are not allowed to take a learner driver on the motorway – this needs to be with a fully qualified instructor – which is what we can offer you at Brum Driving School.

We find that pupils who take part in our motorway driving courses see an improvement in their general driving, as well as gaining confidence and experience in motorway driving.

Our motorway driving tuition is also suitable for full licence holders who want to increase their confidence and experience on motorways and can be tailored to a specific need, such as SMART motorways, joining and exiting the motorway or changing lanes safely. We also consider the bigger picture, such as how external factors like the time of day, tiredness and stress can affect driving.
